Season Four Grand Finale!

It is the end of Season Four of the Nature Journal Show! You can see the premiere of this episode on Wednesday January 15th!

Mission and Vision of the Show

The mission of the show is to help you get more out of your nature journaling through sharing beginner tips, advanced techniques, product reviews, and taking you along on vicarious nature journaling adventures.

My vision is that nature journaling can make the world a better place by slowing people down, helping them see more in nature, and bringing more attention and connection to the vanishing biodiversity around us.

Not only did my Patreon members get to see this episode early, they also are the ones that made this entire season possible. Learn how you can support the show for as little as $5 a month and the other benefits that you get here.

Most hated video of all time?

Did you know that my most disliked video of all time came out during season four? Tune in to the season finale to see what it was.

Funny Moments

As usual, there were lots of funny moments mixed into this years episodes. Not only is humor fun but it is also proven to help with learning and memory!

Vicarious Nature Journaling Adventures!

Since I can’t afford to live in California full time, I get to take you on vicarious adventures in places like Panamá, Ecuador, and Baja California México. This can feed two birds with one scone because these areas have a lower cost of living but also have much higher biodiversity. It actually feeds three birds with one scone because these are also areas where nature journaling can make a bigger impact and I get a chance to collaborate with local organizations and teach nature journaling to educators and local kids.

Lots of Watercolor Landscapes

Season four was packed with lots of watercolor tips in general and landscape painting in particular. I feel like this is one aspect of nature journaling that I have been getting a lot better at and has perhaps become one of the trademarks of my nature journaling style. If you have watched the show for a while then you know that I have been sharing what I learn with you. My biggest video project ever was a Watercolor Landscape Painting class for Skillshare. If you want to take your landscapes to the next level check out the class here.

15 Interviews and 30 Live Shows

Season four brought you fifteen interviews and thirty live shows. Most of these came leading up to and during the Wild Wonder Nature Journaling Conference. I tried to interview as many of the instructors as possible. I also created videos helping you navigate registration, how to use the schedule, and of course my daily recaps at the end of each day that everyone finds so helpful. I attended every single class and session from 8am in the morning until 9pm at night and reported on them for you. You can see all of those episodes from Wild Wonder 2024 in this playlist here.

Teaser for Season Five

I’m not going to spoil some of the exciting stuff that is in store for you in Season Five. If you want a big furry hint you should be sure to watch until the end of the season finale video!
