this is where the eye is drawn.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Put in only the suggestion of water at first.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">When you begin using the watercolors, put in your lightest values first.\u00a0 In this case, that would be both the sky and the ocean, which Marley puts in at the same time.\u00a0 He uses John Muir Laws\u2019s w<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">atercolor palette, which you can find <a href=\"https:\/\/johnmuirlaws.com\/product\/custom-watercolor-palette\/\">here<\/a>, and a <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3v0gLyb\">Pentel large waterbrush<\/a>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Add the darker values in the foreground.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Now give this first layer of watercolor time to dry; Reserving whites is challenging and takes practice!\u00a0 You can add the whites back in using an opaque media, like the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2QmdsSA\">Presto Jumbo Correction Pen<\/a>\u00a0Marley uses.
