With this diverse toolbox I tried to document my observations, feeling, and impressions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The following is a recording where I review my second day:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It was the first day of the Nature Journal Safari and contains many of my first landscape scale impressions from the hours of cross-country driving.<\/p>\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-872-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"https:\/\/marleypeifer.com\/dev\/wp2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/1-2nd-Day-Arusha-to-Tarangire.m4a?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/marleypeifer.com\/dev\/wp2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/1-2nd-Day-Arusha-to-Tarangire.m4a\">https:\/\/marleypeifer.com\/dev\/wp2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/1-2nd-Day-Arusha-to-Tarangire.m4a<\/a><\/audio>\n<p>One correction from the audio regarding the hanging beehives. I think they are not actually managed hives but traps for enticing homeless swarms.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/marleypeifer.com\/dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_5278.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-877\" src=\"https:\/\/marleypeifer.com\/dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_5278-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_5278\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a>I was not expecting so many agaves.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/marleypeifer.com\/dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_5279-e1507085319482.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-876\" src=\"https:\/\/marleypeifer.com\/dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_5279-e1507085319482-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_5279\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>While we were waiting for our permits to enter Tarangire national park I sketched the elephant skull then posed in front of it.
