Nature Journaling Class Palo Alto California

I’m teaching a nature journaling class in Palo Alto!

The location is the beautiful and historic Gamble Garden. Not only will you learn the basics of nature journaling but you will also learn how it can make you a better gardener.

Are you ready to take your gardening to the next level? Do you want to see and appreciate each plant more? Do you want to recapture the curiosity, memory and connection to nature you experienced in your youth? You are in luck because nature journaling can give you all those things. This class will help you see more, become more curious and creative. Most importantly, you will get more pleasure out of gardening. Instructor Marley Peifer will share how journaling has made him a better and happier gardener .

This class is suitable for adults and teens. Class will be held outside on the Carriage House Patio. Gamble Garden follows Santa Clara County Public Health Department COVID-19 requirements and guidelines. Masks are strongly recommended indoors but are not required.

Supplies

Students should come to class with the following supplies:

• Sketchbook: wire-bound and at least 65 to 75 lb paper about 8×10 or 9×11 inch sketchbook. University Arts on El Camino in Redwood City has many for $8- $10.
• Pen or pencil.
• A shoulder or large canvas shopping bag to carry supplies.
• Optional: colored pencils , waterbrush, watercolor field palette.
