DESCRIPTION:Do you like learning new things\, making cool drawings\, or observing plants? Then come and join a fun and instructive workshop with Marley to improve your skills! \nBy drawing plants we’ll come to better understand how they work\, what their different parts do\, and how to group them into families. We will discuss tips and techniques for quality drawings and some basic botanical knowledge. Through this fun process you will become a better artist\, a better observer\, and a better naturalist! \nBring any sketchbooks\, pens\, and pencils that you have. We will also have some basic supplies on hand to share. After practicing indoors\, we will explore and draw some plants around the Nature Center. \n  \n$20 recommended donation

SUMMARY:Explore Spring Lake: North Coast Nature Journal Club
DESCRIPTION:Come see Spring Lake with new eyes. We will learn tips and tricks for depicting landscapes that include water\, that trickiest of subjects. We will also practice drawing birds and how to get their proportions accurately. \nBring sketching and watercolor supplies\, binoculars\, and a potluck lunch to share. A hat\, sun gear\, foldable chair or stool might also be useful. Be prepared to enjoy nature and learn with like minded people. \nWe will meet at 10am at the food stand at the Violetti Road entrance. Look for people standing around with sketchbooks. Potluck lunch around 12. \n$20 recommended donation for the club. \nNote: this is a regional park and they charge for parking in the lot. If you choose you can park outside the gate on Violetti road and walk in.
